The Grinnellian Team

Evan & Abby

Grinnell residents Evan Petig and Abby Copeman Petig have recently been entrusted with the legacy of owning/operating The Grinnellian B&B (formerly The Carriage House B&B).  Evan and Abby each have strong connections to Grinnell. Abby is a native of Grinnell and both Abby and Evan are alumni of Grinnell College.  After living in Portland, Oregon post graduation, Evan returned to Grinnell and has been a resident for more than 20 years. Abby also left after graduation to pursue career and educational goals but returned after the couple met in 2011. They currently live in (and are continuously renovating) a historic home on Main Street with their two elementary-aged sons. Their daughter, Addyson, lives in Des Moines and their oldest son, Brody, is attending college in Colorado. Evan and Abby look forward to welcoming guests and continuing to create unique and memorable experiences for visitors to the community.

Keegan & Amos

Keegan holds the important position of In-House Concierge and lives in the Concierge quarters at The Grinnellian. Keegan, a Wisconsin native, has lived in Grinnell since 2022. In addition to his duties at The Grinnellian, Keegan is the Assistant Cross Country & Track and Field Coach at Grinnell College. Keegan is a man of many hobbies and interests. He has a master’s degree in Kinesiology, loves making scones and other baked goods from fresh ingredients, and running long distances ridiculously fast.  It’s only fitting that his best friend Amos, who holds the important position of "Interim Mascot" for The Grinnellian, is a retired racing greyhound.
